Hazard and Mata are Chelsea’s key players for this game, speaking of Hazard, he has been on top form for club and country, in his two international matches played with Belgium, he managed to score in two of the games, 1 with a penalty and another goal where he made room for himself for a shot which paid off. Chelsea has managed 2 wins and a loss in their last 3 matches, they lost against Man City playing away but beat West Brom and West Ham at home.
Southampton currently sit in 16th position, a position where if they continue to drop points they might get relegated. In their last 3 matches they lost to QPR playing at home, drew with Norwich playing away and managed a win against Liverpool at home beating them 3-1. If Southampton play at their best level like they did against Liverpool then they will have a chance. They are also playing at home which gives them an advantage. I predict Chelsea will win this match if they start their strongest line-up, including Mata and Hazard. If Torres starts, it will be great to see if he can start scoring again and build the confidence he did in the last match against Steaua Bucharest.
