Southampton v Chelsea FC football match will be played on 30.03.2013 at St. Mary’s Stadium, Southampton, Hampshire for a Premier League match.

Chelsea will travel to St. Mary’s Stadium and will be looking to get three points. They currently sit third in the Premier League table with 55 points, 1 point in front of Spurs who are in fourth spot, with Chelsea having an extra game in hand and with the games coming thick and fast. Chelsea’s main objective this season will be to finish in the top 4, so that they can be guaranteed a place in the Champions League next season.  They still have the F.A Cup and the Europa League to play still.

Chelsea last played Southampton at home on 16 Jan 2013 and managed a 2-2 draw then before that they played them away for an F.A. Cup match and beat them 1-5. This game will be interesting, because Chelsea’s away form has been good. Can they put on a performance like they did when they played against them in the F.A. Cup? If the International games hadn’t got in the way it will be hard to say. Hazard and Mata are Chelsea’s key players for this game, speaking of Hazard, he has been on top form for club and country, in his two international matches played with Belgium, he managed to score in two of the games, 1 with a penalty and another goal where he made room for himself for a shot which paid off.  Chelsea has managed 2 wins and a loss in their last 3 matches, they lost against Man City playing away but beat West Brom and West Ham at home.
