Malta v Northern Ireland Football Match – 06.02.2013 – Friendly Match Preview

Malta v Northern Ireland friendly football match will be in 06.02.2013 at Ta’Qali, Malta. The match will begin at 18:30 with GMT. Malta is one of the smallest countries of Europe and their squad quality is not very high but I believe they do the best which they can do… Sometimes they can get surprising results against big teams. They have lost every matches in WQ Groups. They have lost against Armenia, Italy and Czech Republic in group. Manny Muscat, Etienne Barbara and Michael Mifsud won’t play against Northern Ireland. Abscense of Michael Mifsud will affect attacks of Malta in this match. Michael Mifsud is very experienced player and he scored 36 goals for Malta till today.

Northern Ireland National Football Team had a strange performance in WQ groups in 2012. They got 3 draws and a lose in group. They have lost against Russia in their first match in group. Then they got a draw against Portugal, Azerbaijan and Luxembourg. Head coach Michael O’Neill hasn’t called up Kyle Lafferty, David Healy, Chris Baird for this match. I don’t know how they will score goal while there’s not David Healy in squad. They still may score against Malta but it won’t be that easy for them. Roy Caroll, Jonny Evans, Aaron Hughes will play against Malta. Michael O’Neill has also called-up 5 new players for Northern Ireland squad in this match.

MAtch Prediction: Malta won’t lose.
