Jamaica National Football team will face with Martinuque in 12.10.2012 in Antigua and Barbuda. Jamaica lost against French Guiana in its first match and dissapoint their supporters. Their opponents will be weaker then French Guiana and I believe it won’t be a hard match for Jamaica but they should take things serious for this match. Because Martnique National Football Team surprised everyone with a draw against Cuba. A draw won’t be useful for Jamaica.
Jamaica isn’t strong like 1994-2000 years. They have a few important players but I think the squad is quality enough to beat Martinique in Antigua. Jermaine Taylor (defender – Houston Dynamo), Demar Phillips (midfielder – Aaalesund), Luton Shelton (Striker – Karabukspor) are the most valuable players of Jamaica squad at the moment. Omar Darley and Chris Humphrey (midfielder – Motherwell), Marlon King (Striker – Birmingham City) havent been called for Caribbean Cup. If head coach could add them squad, I don’t think that Jamaica could lose against French Guiana in first macth.
Martinique is one of the most little country of Caribbean Zone and Martinique National Football Team players are generally young. They managed to beat British Virgin Islands with 16-0 score in this year. They could manage to win Caribbean Cup in 1993. It’s hilarious but their opponent was Jamaica in the final and they won over Jamaica with Penalty kickouts. However their squad is not good enough to gain same success again.
Martinique’s the most valuable player is Yoan Pivaty. Yoan Pivaty is playing for Etar in Bulgaria A League. Arles’s defender Gael Germany is another important name in Martinique’s squad.
