Second-placed Tottenham invite their fierce rivals Arsenals at White Hart Lane on Sunday. The Lilywhites are keeping up with the league leaders Leicester and their triumph at the weekend can realistically end Arsenal’s chances of winning the Premier League.
Arsene Wenger’s men lost to a Manchester United side which mostly comprised of youngsters from their academy as 13 of their first team players were sidelined due to injury. Marcus Rashford bagged two goals and an assist in his debut match in the English top flight on Sunday. United won 3 – 2 against the Londoners who never looked to have the game under control.
On the other hand, Spurs came back from behind to win 2 – 1 against Swansea. They stay two points behind Claudio Ranieri’s Leicester and are now three points ahead of Arsenal. However, the visitors have an opportunity to close down the gap with a win in the North London derby.
Mauricio Pochettino’s team has won of all of their last six fixtures in the Premier League. The Argentine coach has been impressive throughout the season and is reportedly on Real Madrid’s radar as they are allegedly looking for a major overhaul in the summer transfer window.
Arsenal’s performance in the league hasn’t been as consistent as their city rivals. They have won two and drawn two of their last six league matches. They are now five points behind Leicester and only a consistent run of good results can give them a chance of reaching the promised land.

Prior to the big match at White Hart Lane, both these teams are involved in the midweek league matches. Arsenal play host to Swansea while Spurs travel to West Ham for the crunch tie at Upton Park.
Tottenham seem to be the favourites for the clash and thus Arsenal will have to crank it up a notch as they can’t afford to let their biggest rivals end their chances of winning the league title.
