South Africa v Cape Verde match will be in Johannesburg, South Africa. South Africa made two friendlies vefore Africa Cup of Natios and their performance wasn’t very good in friendlies. Lack of harmony in squad can make things harder for South Africa. I don’t think that they may fix things very soon. They have lost against Norway in home 0-1 and they got a draw against Algeria in home 0-0 in friendly matches. Their only advantage is that they are hosting tournament. Otherwise I would think different about match.
Cape Verde made a lot of surprises this year. For joining Africa Nations Cup they have beaten Madagascar first. (4-0), (3-1) Then they had an unfortunate draw for second round for qualify. They have matched with Cameroon in draws and everyone tought that Cameroon will pass Cape Verde easily but it wasn’t like that. They beat Cameroon 2-0 in first match in home. In away they lost 1-2 but they deserved to qualify Africa Cup of Nations. They played just one friendly before Africa Cup of Nations and they got a draw against Nigeria. It seems Cape Verde squad is ready for tournament.
